Resolutions of the General Assembly of the Stale of Mis-
souri; Resolutions of the General Assembly of the State of
Delaware; Resolutions of the General Assembly ef the State

Communication of Hon. Charles J. M. Gwinn, Attorney
General, relative to the title to the property of the Maryland
Hospital at Spring Grove

Communication of the Grand Jury of Cecil county to the
Circuit Court, recommending the protection of fish from wan-
ton destruction during spawning season.

Which was read and the reports referred to the Committee
on the Governor's Message.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliv-
ered the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

Jan'y 12th, 1876.

Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received your message requesting our attendance
in the Senate Chamber to participate in the inauguration of
his Excellency, John Lee Carroll, as Governor, and respect-
fully concur therein.

MILTON Y. KIDD,

Chief Clerk.
Which was read.

The hour of twelve o'clock, M., having arrived, the Hon.
John Lee Carroll, the Governor elect, accompanied by his
Excellency, Governor James Black Groome, and the respec-
tive Committees of the Senate and House of Delegates, ap-
peared in the Senate Chamber and took seats assigned to
them.

The Honorable, the Speaker, and Members of the House of
Delegates, appeared.

Whereapon the Governor elect arose and delivered an ad-
dress in the presence of the General Assembly, the Honora-
ble Judges of the Court of Appeals, and a large concourse of
citizens, when the oath of office was administered by the
