At 2.55 P. M., the Senate went into Executive Session.
At 3.30 P. M., the Senate resumed the consideration of
Legislative business, when

The Senate adjourned.

THURSDAY, February 24th, 1876.

Senate met at 11 A. M.

Prayer by Rev. Mr. Canter.

Present at the roll call the following Senators:

Messrs. President, Brewer, Cooper, Duke, Dennis, Free-
man, Ford, Gorman, Hepbron, Humphreys, Joyce, Lee,
Lawrence, Lloyd, McCulloh, Mudd, Newcomer, Phelps,
Stevens, Steiner, Suit, Walsh—23.

Proceedings of yesterday were read and approved.

Mr. Steiner presented the memorial of Jacob H. Hinea, O.
F. Zimmerman and 74 others, citizens of Frederick county,
setting forth the want of a new election district to be made
from districts No. 2 and 4 of said county, and to be called
"Lewistown Election District, No. 19," which memorial is
endorsed by all the County Commissioners of said county,
and further asking the passage of an Act creating the new
district, with the metes aud bounds givea in the memorial.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Steiner, Mudd and
Humphreys.
