On motion by Mr. Humphreys,

Said bill was substituted for the unfavorable report by yeas

ings, reported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 37, of Article
75, Code of Public General Laws, title "Pleading, Practice
and Procers," sub-title "Practice," and to re-enact the same
with amendments.

Which was read the first time.

Also, by Mr. Humphreys, favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to add certain additional Sec-
tions to Article 75, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Pleading, Practice and Process," sub-title "Process," pro-
viding for a service of a writ of summons or subpoena upon a
defendant or defendants, being or residing without the limits
of the State of Maryland in certain cases.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Stevens, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 21, of Article
38, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Fees of Offi-
cers," sub-title "Notaries Public," and to re-enact the same
with amendments.

Which was read the first time.

Also, by Mr. Stevens, favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sub-Section 3, of Sec-
tion 37, and Section 93, of chapter 471, of the Ada of 1868,
