On motion by Mr. Steiner,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill, entitled an Act to repeal section five
of Article thirteen of the Code of Public General Laws, en-
titled "Bastardy and Fornication," and to re-enact the same
with amendments.

On motion by Mr. Joyce,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to introduce a bill to repeal, sections six hundred and
nineteen, to six hundred and twenty-eight inclusive, of Arti-
cle four (4) of the Public Local Laws, entitled "City of
Baltimore," sub-title "Justice of the Peace and Constable,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion by Mr. Hepbron,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Hepbron, Knight and Ford,
to introduce a bill to repeal chapter 338, Act of 1874, in re-
lation to taxes on dogs, and re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

On motion by Mr. Phelps,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Phelps, Cooper and Gorman,
to introduce a bill to repeal section 4, of Article 64, of the
Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Mortgages," and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion by Mr. McCullough,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to report a bill, entitled an Act to authorize the sale of
lands in Allegany county, which have reverted to the heirs
of Thomas Beall, of Samuel of said county.

On motion by Mr. Getty,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a hill to provide for the settlement of the
boundary line between Maryland and West Virginia.

On motion by Mr. Joyce,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to prohibit a person holding an office
of profit under the State of Maryland from filling any office
of profit under the United States, or any county, eity, town,
or municipal corporation within thia State.

On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill entitled & Act to authorize Pierre C.
Dugan, of Baltimore city, trustee, to transfer certain proper-
