1853, chapter 109, entitled. "An Act to amend an Act en-
titled an Act to incorporate the Fremont Savings Institution
of Baltimore, by allowing said institution the privilege em-
braced under the Act entitled an Act to continue the corpor-
ate existence of the several banking institutions therein men-
tioned, passed at January Session, 1853, chapter 441,

Being upon its third reading,

Mr. Stevens (by unanimous consent,) submitted the follow-
ing amendment:

Add at the end of title,

"And to extend the corporate existence of the Peoples-
Bank of Baltimore."
Which was adopted.

Said bill as amended, was then read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the
Merchants' and Miners' Transportation Company,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. President, Knight,
Aydelotte, Lee,
Brewer, . Lawrence,
Cooper, McCulloh,
Freeman, Phelps,
Getty, Stevens,
Hepbron, Steiner,
Humphreys, Suit,

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.
Senate bill entitled an Act to regulate the sale of firewood
in the City of Baltimore for the better protection of the pro-
duce dealer and consumer,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:
