TUESDAY, February 8th, 1876.

Senate met at 12 M.

Pray ar by the Rev. Mr. Canter.

Present at roll-call the following Senators :

Messrs. President, Bannon, Brewer, Cooper, Duke, Free-
man, Getty, Hepbron, Humphreys, Joyce, Knight, Lee,
Lawrence, Lloyd, McCulloh, Newcomer, Phelps, Stevens,
Steiner, Suit, Walsh—21.

Proceedings of yesterday read and approved.

The President presented the memorial of James E. Doug-
lass and 35 others, citizens of Caroline county, praying the
passage of an Act authorizing the Commissioners of said
county to lease or build wharves at Cambridge, Easton Point
and Miles River Ferry.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Lloyd, Phelps,
and Fields.

Also,

The memorial of Wm. H. Smith and 60 others, citizens of
Caroline county, praying the repeal of the law in regard to
outside fences in Caroline county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Mr. Cooper presented the memorial of W. A. Vickery,
Geo. Cassard, and others, merchants of Baltimore, against
the filling up of the harbor of Baltimore.

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore City Sena-
tors.

Mr. Lloyd, presented the memorial of J. Frank Turner,
and 65 others, citizens of Talbot county, to construct abridge
across Tuckahoe creek.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Also,

A similar memorial of John W. Knott and 55 others,
citizens of Talbot county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Mr. Duke presented the memorial of Eliza Ogden, widow
of a soldier of the war of 1812, praying that a pension be
granted her.
