Senate bill entitled au Act to repeal Sections 4 and 6, of
chapter 150, of the Acts of 1874, entitled an Act to establish
a Commission of Fisheries of the State of Maryland, define
its duties and to appropriate a sum of money to defray tho
expenses thereof, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments,

Being upon its second reading,
On motion by Mr. Knight,

Was ordered to lie over and be made the order of the day
for Wednesday, February 9th, at 1 o'clock.

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland.
State Grange of the Patrons of Husbandry.

Being upon its second reading,
On motion by Mr. Dennis,

Was ordered to lie over.

Senate bill entitled an Act, for the promotion of Agricul-
ture and the Mechanic and Household Arts, in Harford, How-
ard, Kent, Wicomico, Somerset, Prince George's, Dorches-
ter, Talbot, Anne Arundel, Charles, Queen Anne's, Calvert,
St. Mary's, Cecil and Garrett counties,

Was read the third time and rejected for want of a consti-
tutional majority, by yeas and nays, as follows:

Dennis, Stevens,
Gorman, Steiner,
Humphreys, Suit,
Knight, Walsh—12.

On motion by Mr. Walsh,

The vote by which said bill tailed to receive a constitu-
tional-majority was reconsidered.

Senate bill entitled au Act to repeal Section 8, of chapter
506, of the Acts of 1874, entitled an Act for the taxation of
dogs in the State of Maryland, and to re-enact the same
with amendments,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows :
