Which was read, assented to and sent to the House of
Delegates.

On motion by Mr. Humphreys, it was

Ordered, That the Senator from Somerset have leave of ab-
sence until Thursday, 10th instant.

On motion by Mr. Lee, it was

Ordered, That when the Senate adjourn to-day it stand
adjourned until Tuesday at 12 o'clock.

On motion by Mr. Phelps,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Phelps, Lloyd and Dennis
to introduce a bill to regulate the catching of fish in the
Choptank river.

On motion by Mr. Brewer,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to revive, extend and amend an Act en-
entitled au Act to charter the National Railroad Company
of Maryland.

On motion by Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to repeal the 10th Section of the Act of 1868,
chapter 289, entitled an Act to incorporate the Gary Manu-
facuturing Company, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Also, by Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to amend Article 37 of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Evidence," by adding thereto
certain additional sections.

On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill entitled an Act to authorize trustees
to transfer trust funds.

Also, by Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted to the Oommittee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill entitled an Act to amend Article 67
of the Public General Laws, title, "Notaries Public,"

Mr. Dennis submitted the following
