The question then recurring upon the adoption of the
order,
Mr. Dashiell submitted the following order :
Ordered, That the Postmaster of this House be required
to furnish each member of the House, the same amount of
postage stamps as the Senate has voted its members, also the
same amount to the Chief Clerk and the Reading Clerk.
Which was read.
The question then recurring upon the adoption of the
order,
Mr. Hodges submitted the following amendment:
Ordered, That the members of this House and their Chief
Clerks, be allowed such stamps as they may need for their
official duties during the session, not to exceed the sum of
($25) twenty-five dollars to each person.
Which was read.
The question then recurring upon the adoption of the
amendment,
Mr. Koons moved to lay the whole subject on the table.
