diciary.
Mr. Donaldson 'presented the petition of H. Luning, Mas-
ter of German bri^ Bernard, for relief for damages to said
brig from defective condition of State wharf to which she was
moored.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Browning be excused f rem attendance
on this House for a few days, for the purpose of att; nding
Court in Garrett county,
On motion of Mr. Lamotte,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to make valid a deed from Edwin A. Crouse
and George A. Grouse, Executors of George Grouse, to Jacob
H. Stansbury, of Carroll county, and to correct certain in-
formation in said deed.
On motion of Mr. Ward,
Leave was granted to the Cecil delegation to introduce a
bill to repeal Section 1, of chapter 388, of Acts of 1874, enti-
tled an Act to regulate the hauling of seines in North, East
and Elk rivers, and re-enact same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Briscoe,
Leave was granted to the Cecil delegation to introduce a
bill to regulate the sale of spirituous and fermented liquors
and lager beer in Cecil county.
On motion of Mr. Ranger,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Education to in-
troduce a bill repealing the entire School Law, and enacting
one in lieu thereof.
On motion of Mr. Riggs,
Leave was granted to the Frederick delegation to introduce
a bill entitled an Act to aid an additional Section to Article
11, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Frederick
county," to follow Section 45 of said Article, sub-title
"County Commissioners."
On motion of Mr. Atkinson,
Leave was granted to the Allegany delegation to introduce
a bill to authorize the County Commissioners of Alleganj
county to levy money for the repairs of the National road.
Mr. Vandiver, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact Section 60
and add sub-Sections to an Act passed at January Session
