of money sufficient therefor.

Senate bill entitled an Act to extend the jurisdiction of
Justices of the Peace in and for St. Mary's, Baltimore, Gar-
rett, Calvert, Washington, Allegany and Charles counties, to
cases of petty larceny.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.
Also, delivered,
House bill entitled an Act to allow the County Commis-
sioners of Charles county to pay Richard Barnes, Sr., the usual
per diem and compensation during the time he was preven-
ted in 1874 and 1875, by sickness, from attending as Chief
Judge of the Orphans' Court.
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
Also, delivered,
House bill entitled an Act to amend the 4th Article of the
Code of Public Local Laws, by adding another Section there-
to, in relation to investments on account of the sinking fund
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
Also, delivered,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 432, of the Act
of 1874, entitled an Act to repeal Section 20, of Article 28, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "County Commission-
ers," sub-title "Roads," and to re-enact the same with
amendments, so far as the same applies to Washington coun-
ty, and to re-enact the same with amendment.
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
Also, delivered,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 3, of the Acts
passed at January Session, 1874, title an Act to limit the
hours of labor in this State, for all minors under sixteen
years of age, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
Also, delivered,
Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Carroll county to repair and to build an addi-
tion to the Court House in said county, and to borrow money
for that purpose, to issue bonds for the payment of the same,
and to levy taxes on the assessable property in said county
to redeem said bonds, and to pay the interest thereon.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Carroll
delegation.
