Mr. Rutledge presented tho petition of C. Munnikuyson
and 50 others, of Harford county, in favor of a poll tax and
change of Constitution for that purpose.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.
Mr. Vandiver presented the petition of Ann Grafton, of
Harford county, praying a pension as widow of a soldier of
the war of 1812.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. Brooke presented the petkion and protest of 39 citizens
of Barton, Allegany county, Md., against the passage of the-
bill imposing restrictions on building associations.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Cor-
porations.
Mr. Scott presented the petition of the Washington Coun-
ty Grange, praying the Legislature to repeal all laws exist-
ing that exempt certain property from taxation.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. Vandiver presented the petition of J. M. Simmons
and 160 other citizens of Harford county, praying for a law
for the protection of houses of public worship.
Which was read and referred to the Harford delegation.
Mr. Brown submitted the following order:
Ordered, That during this week no local bills shall be con-
sidered at the day sessions, and that the evening sessions be
devoted to the consideration of Local and General House-
bills.
Mr. Brown moved the previous question,
