of a Speaker pro tem.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Rullman moved that Mr. Gill, of Baltimore city, be
declared the unanimous choice of the House as Speaker pro
tem.
The motion prevailed.
Mr. Coburn proposed the following message to the Senate:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
March 13th, 1876.
Gentlemen of the Senate ;
We respectfully inform you that we have elected Mr. John
Gill, of Baltimore city, Speaker pro tern, during the absence
of Mr. Lewis O. Smith, Speaker, absent owing to a death in
his family.
