The House met, and was opened with prayer by the Rev-

Mr. Stewart moved that the vote by which the unfavorable
report of the Committee on Inspections on the bill providing
for the inspection of oils used for illuminating purposes,
Be reconsidered, and the motion made the order of the
day for Monday, March 20th, at 12 M.
The motion was adopted.
Mr. Robinson presented the petition of W. W. Stephens,
T. C. Parsons, Wilbur C. Stephens and numerous other citi-
zens of Kent county, asking for a law to protect Sheep Hus-
bandry.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.
Mr. Curtis presented the petition of Nicholas N. Parker
and a number of other citizens of Baltimore county, to exam-
ine the charter of the York and Baltimore Turnpike Company,,
to ascertain whether they have the right to charge the same
amount of toll for a four-inch tread, as they have for a nar-
row tread wagon.
Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county
delegation.
Mr. Gwynn presented the petition of A. Conway, Rosa
Conway and some three hundred others, asking for Local Op-
tion for their district, in Prince George's county.
Which was read and referred to the Prince George's del-
egation.
Mr. Chaisty presented a petition from A. H. Shook, Henry
Gaehle, Samuel Edmond & Bro. and other citizens, asking
for the passage of a law creating a. Bureau of Supervision for
the puipose of supervising the acts and doings of all such
