On motion of Mr. Goldsborough,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims, to intro-
duce a bill to pay to Edward V. Morris an amount of money
erroneously paid into the Treasury.
On motion of Mr. Mattingly,
Leave was granted, to Measrs. Mattingly, Dunbar and
Lancaster, to introduce a bill to extend the jurisdiction of
Justices of the Peace in and for St. Mary's county.
Mr. Koons, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 17, of the Acts of
1874, entitled an Act to repeal Sections 323 and 324 of the
Public Local Laws of Frederick county, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

Mr. Bird, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill entitled an Act granting the function of the General
Assembly of Maryland, to the bequest in the last will and
testament of Margaret E. Morton, late of Calvert county,
deceased, to the Vestry of St. Paul's Parish Church, in Cal-
vert county.

Mr. Lankford, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Commissioners of
Crisfield to permit the extension of Marine Railway, into the
harbor of Crisfield.
