HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
March 3d, 1876.
The following bills were presented to his Excellency, the
Governor, for his approval, this 3d day of March, 1876.
No. 35. An Act to repeal an Act passed at the Session of
1870, ch. 148, entitled an Act to add additional Sections to the
Act of 1865, ch. 36, entitled an Acfc to incorporate the German
Fire Insurance Company of Baltimore, and also to repeal
Sections 2, 3 and 6 of the said Acfc of 1865, ch. 36, entitled
an Act to incorporate the German Fire Insurance Company
of Baltimore, and to re-enact said 3 Sections with amend-
ments.
No. 36. An Acfc to extend the charter of the New York
and Baltimore Transportation Line, which incorporation is,
by virtue of the Act of December Session, 1847, ch. 112, passed
January Session, 1848, and of the supplementary Acfc passed
February 7th, 1866, ch. 106, at a Session begun on the 10th
day of January, 1866.
No. 37. An Act to refund to Dennis Cookson, of Carroll
county, a certain sum of money, erroneously paid into the
Treasury.
No. 38. An Act to authorize the Mayor and City Council
of Cumberland, to issue bonds to complete and furnish the
City Hall and Market, in the City of Cumberland.
No. 39. An Act to, prevent stock from running at large
within the limits of Garrett county.
No. 32. An Act to authorize the County Commissioners of.
Wicomico county, to levy a sum of money for the support of
William Benjamin Gordy, while in an Insane Asylum.
No. 33. An Acfc to incorporate the Talbot County Canal
and Navigation Company.
No. 30. An Act to incorporate the Consumers Mutual Gas
Light Company of Baltimore, Md.
No. 53. An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments,
so much of Article 21, of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Washington County,"sub-title "Williams-
port," as is contained between Sections 314 and 334, both
inclusive, and to confirm and make valid an election held in
said Town of Williamsport, on the first Monday in March,
1875, for Burgess, Assistant Burgess, and five Commission-
ers for said town, and to confirm and make valid the action
of the said officers so selected in appointing Bailiff for said
town.
