On motion of Mr. Whitelock,
Leave was granted to the Committee on. Corporations to
introduce a bill to regulate voting for directors of corporations.
On motion of Mr. Snowden,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Inspections to in-
troduce a bill providing for a commission, to dispose of the
sites of Tobacco Warehouses No. 1 and 2, and for the build-
ing of new warehouses on deep water.
On motion of Mr. Hess,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to intro-
duce a bill entitled an Act to suspend the operation of Sections
179 and 180, of the Code of Public General Laws, Article
30, title "Crimes and Punishments," sub-title "Sabbath
Breaking" so far as they relate to the City of Baltimore and
Baltimore county, and to regulate the issuing of licenses dur-
ing the continuance of the Centennial Celebration at Phila-
delphia.
Also,
A bill to regulate issuing of licenses in Baltimore city and
Baltimore county, during the continuance of the Centennial
Celebration at Philadelphia.
On motion of Mr. Naill,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 3, of the
Act of the General Assembly of Maryland, of 1864, chap.
44, entitled a supplement to the Act entitled an Act to in-
corporate the Frederick and Emmettsburg Turnpike Com-
pany, passed at December Session, 1844, chapter 136, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Fenton,.
Leave was granted to Mr. Fenton to introduce a bill enti-
tled an Act to refund Ross Winans certain taxes paid in
error.
On motion of Mr. Constable,
The vote by which the bill entitled an Act to add addi-
tional Sections to Article 75, of the Code of Public General
Laws, entitled "Pleadings, Practice, and Process," sub-title
"Practice," to regulate the argument of causes in jury
trials,
Was ordered to he engrossed for a third reading,
Was reconsidered.
Said bill being then upon a second reading,
Mr. Constable moved that the rote by which the various
amendments upon said bill had been adopted, be reconsid-
