On motion of Mr. Atkinson,
Leave was granted to the Allegany delegation to introduce
a bill entitled an Act for the better protection of human
life in the coal mines of Allegany county.
On motion of Mr. Gill,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal the first sec-
tion of the Act passed at the January Session, 1854, chapter
one hundred and twenty-two, of the General Assembly of
Maryland, entitled an Act amendatory of the Act to in-
corporate the South Baltimore Company, passed December
Session, 1882, chapter 96; another, to extend the duration
of said Act to the first of January, 1880, and to appoint
additional corporators, and to increase the capital stock of
said Company to six hundred and ninety-five thousand dol-
lars, and to protect the rights of said Company from forfei-
ture by non use.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill entitled an Act to extend the charter of incor-
poration of the New York and Baltimore Transportation Line,
which incorporation is by virtue of the Act of December Ses-
sion, 1847, chapter 112, passed January 18th, 1848, and of the
supplementary Act, passed February 7th, 1866, chapter 106,
at a session begun on the 10th day of January, 1866.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Select Committee to introduce a
bill entitled an Act to fill the vacancy now existing, or any
that may exist, in the Board of Arbitrators, to ascertain und
fix the boundary between the shores of Virginia and Mary-
land.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to charter the Loan and In-
surance Company of Baltimore.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill entitled a further supplement to an Act
passed at December Session, eighteen hundred and twenty-
five, entitled an Act to incorporate the President and Direc-
tors of the Firemen's Insurance Company.
On motion of Mr. McGlone,
Leave was granted to the Committee to the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to release to Mortimer C.
Griffith, Philemon C. Griffith, Mary R. Dorsey and Emeline
C. Orme, children of Philemon Griffith, deceased, all the
