Mr. Donal Jpon submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 6, line 3, after the word "person," insert, "to
take the place of the messenger to printer, as present ap-
pointed."
Which was rejected.
Mr. Donaldson submitted the following amendment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 6, amend by striking out from the word "enacted"
in line 1, to the words "the Chairman," in line 6 of the
same.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Goldsborough submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 5, strike out all to word "to," in line 6, and in-
sert,
"Section 5, That it shall be the duty of the two Houses of
the General Assembly."
Which was rejected.
Mr. Whitelock submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
And the amount thereby received shall not be paid the
contractor except upon his sworn statement that all the
work contracted for has been delivered to the proper
officers.
Amend Section 6, line 11, by adding the above.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Constable submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Strike out the words "1st Tuesday after the State elec-
tion," in the 2nd line of the 1st Section, and insert the
words, "the 1st Monday in September" in lieu thereof.
Strike out the word "December," in 2nd line of Section 3,
and insert "October/' in lieu thereof.
Which was adopted.
Mr, Waters, of Dorchester, submitted the following
amendment.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
At the end of the Section, add, "and whose further duty
it shall be to see that the documents eo printed and dis-
tributed in accordance with the order of said Houses."
Which was adopted.
