Mr. Hooper presented the petition for Local Option for
Ellicott city.

Mr. Hodges presented the petition of Benjamin King, M.
Tilghman Howard, J. Frank Bird, and other citizens of
Anne Arundel county, praying for a law for the better pro-
tection of wild fowl in the waters of Rhode and Wett rivers.
Which was read and referred to the Anne Arundel delega-
tion.
Mr. Dashiell presented the petition of James L. Bedsworth,
Samuel B. B. Jones, and 150 citizens of Wicomico county,
against the passage of a stock law for said county.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Dashiell, Gordy
and Purnell.
Mr. Lewis presented the petition from druggists, etc., to
the General Assembly of Maryland, for modification of the
Sunday Law.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.
Mr. Nail I presented the petition of Jesse Lambert, Senior,
Peter Engel, and many other citizens of Carroll county, ask-
ing that the question of granting licenses to sell liquors be
submitted to a vote of the people of the State.
Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.
Mr. Naill presented the petition of Peter Baile, Dennis H.
Marynard, and many other citizens of Carroll county, pray-
ing that the question of granting licenses to sell intoxicating
liquorsj be submitted to the votens of the State.
Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.
Mr. Bird presented the petition of Alfred Bennet and 22
others of Calvert county, for Local Option.
Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.
Mr. Ranger presented the petition to abolish the office of
School Commissioner in Washington county.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion.
