Baltimore county, to invest $15,000 in a railroad from Tow-
sontown to some point on the Northern- Central Railroad.
Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county dele-
gation.
Mr. Gunby presented the petition of N. C. Connor, Henry
J. Johnson and 30 others, praying for a I ocal Option Law
for Somerset county.
Which was read and referred to the Somerset delegation,
Mr. Hodges presented the petition of Jos. Fowler, Wm.
Nichols, R. Dorsey and numerous other citizens of Anne
Arundel county, asking for Local Option.
Which was read and referred to a Select Committee on
Temperance.
Mr. Sprigg presented the petition of Lloyd Lowndes and
49 other citizens of the City of Cumberland, relative to the
rates of interest in this State.
Which as read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.
Mr. Onley presented the petition of Edward Harmon and
other colored citizens of Worcester county, praying that the
laws of the State in reference to Bastardy, be made applica-
ble to their race, as they are to the white race.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.
Mr. Hodges presented the petition of Benjamin R. David-
son, Nathan Shipley, J. H. Marriott and 94 other citizens of
Anne Arundel county, praying for the erection of a bridge
over Beard's creek above Taylorsville.
Which was read and referred to the Anne Arundel delega-
tion.
Mr. Onley presented the petition of John R. P. Moore and
others, citizens of Snow Hill in Worcester county, praying
that the acts incorporating said town be not repealed.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Purnell, Onley
and Gunby.
Mr, Hodges presented the petition of Sarah A. Fowler,
Emma A. Basil and Ella Basil and numerous other citizens
of Anne Arundel county, asking for Local Option.
Which was read and referred to a Select Committee on
Temperance,
Mr. Whitelock presented the petition of 37 business firms
of Baltimore city, asking a change in the law with regard to
usuary.
Which was read and referred to the Committee oa the Ju-
