Act to incorporate the German Fire Insurance Company of
Baltimore, and also to repeal Sections 2, 3 and 6 of the said
Act of 1865, chapter 36, entitled an Act to incorporate the
German Fire Insurance Company of Baltimore, and to re-
enact the said three Sections with amendments.

Mr. Smith of Dorchester, submitted the following message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
February 23rd, 1876.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We have received from your Honorable Body, the House
bill entitled an Act to provide for the proper representation
of the State of Maryland at the celebration of the One Hun-
dredth Anniversary of American Independence, which this
House passed, and sent to the Seriate for its action, with an
endorsement, "reported unfavorably by the Committee on
Finance, and the repoit adopted."
We respectfully ask you to recede from your action by
which the unfavorable report was adopted, and substitute the
bill for the report; we herewith return the bill.

Mr. Boyle presented a petition with 300 signers, to protect
the fish in Susquehanna river.

Mr. Chaisty presented the petition from 250 Physicians,
Pharmacists and citizens of Baltimore, relative to the sale
of drugs, medicines and chemicals in the city of Baltimore,
asking for the passage of a suitable bill amendatory of the
present bill.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.
Mr. Robinson presented the petition of Thomas A. Smith,
Wm. T. Leatherbury, Chas. T. Leatherbury, and 50 other
citizens of Anne Arundel county, asking for a Local Option
Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.
