On motion of Mr. Donaldson,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations, to
Introduce a bill entitled an Act to add an additional Section
to be numbered 220, to Article 26, of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled "Corporations," as re-enacted by an
Act passed at the January Session, 1868, chapter 471.
And the bill named therein, was ordered to be printed.
On motion of Mr. Scott,
Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation,
to introduce a bill entitled an act to repeal chapter 423, of
the Acts 1874, entitled an Act to repeal Section 20, of Arti-
cle 28, of the Code of Public General Laws, titled "County
Commissioners," sub-title "Roads," so far as the same re-
lates to Washington county, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.
On motion of Mr. Loane,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Loane, Donaldson and Fen-
ton, to introduce a bill entitled an Act to regulate the sale of
seats in Theatres, Concerts or Lecture Halls, and other
places of public entertainment.
On motion of Mr. Smith of Baltimore county,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation, to
report a bill prohibiting the sale of liquors at or within one
mile of the village of Hereford, in Baltimore county.
Mr. Constable, Chairman of the Committee on the Judi-
ciary, reported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments Section 5, of Article 13, of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Bastardy and Fornication," and also to add ad-
ditional Sections to said Article.
Which was read a first time.
The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day,
Mr. Smith, of Dor., moved that the House do now proceed
to the consideration of
The bill entitled an Act to provide for the proper repre-
sentation of the State of Maryland at the celebration of thg
one-hundredth anniversary of American independence.
Decided in the negative.
The House then proceeded to the consideration of the Gen-
eral Appropriation bill for 1876, No. 54.
Pending which,
On motion of Mr. Gill,
The further consideration thereof was postponed, and said
bill made the order of the day for Monday, the 21st Inst.
