and 15 others, asking increased facilities between Baltimore
city and Towsontown.

Baltimore county, asking county aid to complete the railway
between Baltimore city and the county seat.

Mr. Donaldson presented the petition of Thomas Newton,
and 34 others, all of Howard county, praying for a general
Local Option Law.
Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject.

The petitions of John Bryan and 29 others, Almira Mont-
gelien and 41 others, and Cora Crump and 58 others, all citi-
zens of Howard county, asking for a general Local Option
Law.

Mr. Rusk presented the petition of Charles Scmidt, M. J.
Gotto, and other boss barbers, to repeal so much of the sup-
plement to Section 180, of Article 30, of the Code, relating
to barber saloons being kept open on Sunday.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.
Mr Naill presented Seventh Annual Report of the Mary-
land Institution for the Education of the Deaf and Dumb.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

The Sixth Annual Report of the Maryland Institution for
the Education of the Deaf and Dumb.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.
On motion of Mr. Donaldson, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Clark be excused for his absence from
the service of this House on Monday, Tuesday and Wedpes-
day of this week, having been detained at home by sick-
ness.
On motion of Mr. Ward, it was
Ordered, That H. O. Touchstone have leave of absence for
a few days.
