The House then proceeded to the consideration of the
following Resolution submitted by Mr. Whitelock on the 7th
instant.
Resolved, That the Committee on the Judiciary inquire in-
to the expediency of providing by law, for the better protec-
tion of the interest of small stockholders in corporations or-
ganized under the laws of this State, and to report by bill or
otherwise.

The House then proceeded to the consideration of the fol-
