for Prince Georgia county, Maryland, certain fees due him
for 1874 and 1875, in certain cases of the State of Maryland
in the Circuit Court for Prince George's county.
On motion of Mr. Brooke,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Education, to in-
troduce a bill entitled an Act, to repeal Section two of qhap-
ter two, and Section eight of chapter four, of an Act passed
January Session, eighteen hundred and seventy-two, chapter
377, entitled an Act to repeal an Act, passed at the January
Session of eighteen hundred and seventy, entitled an Act to
repeal an Act, passed at the January Session, eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-eight, entitled "Public Education," provid-
ing a general system of free public schools for the State of
Maryland, and repeal all laws inconsistent therewith, and
re-enact the flame with amendments, and to substitute in lien
of said section the following.
On motion of Mr. Waters, of Dorchester,
Leave was granted to the Dorchester delegation, to intro-
duce a bill to approve an Act of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, passed January Session, 1874, chapter 93, requiring the
County Commissioners of Dorchester county, to subscribe to
the capital stuck of the Cambridge & Chesapeake Railroad
Company.
Mr. Hoblitzell from the Committee on the Judiciary, re-
ported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 5 and 7, of Arti-
cle 10, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Attach-
ments," and re-enact the same with amendments.
Which was read a first time.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 2, of Article 37,
of the Code of Public General Laws, titled "Evidence," sub-
title "Competency of Witnesses," as amended by the Act of
January Session, 1874, Chapter 385, and to amend and re-
enact the same to read as follows.
Which was read a first time.
Also,
A bill entitled a supplement to an Art passed at the Janu-
ary Session, 1860, chapter 267, entitled an Act incorporat-
ing a Company to open in part, and improve the road from
Frederick city, in Frederick county, etc.
Mr Loane, Chairman of Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to amend an Act of January Ses-
sion, 1867, chapter 237, entitled an Act to incorporate the
