A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and City
Council of Cumberland, to issue bonds to raise money to com-
plete and finish the City Hall and Market, in the City of
Cumber 1 nd.
Which was read a first time.
The bill entitled an Act for the better protection of human
life in the Coal Mines of Allegany county,
Being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Sprigg,
The further consideration thereof was postponed.
And said bill made the order of the day for Tuesday, the
first day of February.
The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day.
