Mr. Rutledge submitted the following amendment :
Add in sixth line, after the word "each," "and three of
the members on the Committee on Elections to be taken from
the minority side of the House."

Mr. Purnell submitted the following amendment:
"That the Committee on Elections, when increased, shall
be constituted so that each political party shall be repre-
sented upon it in the same proportion as they hold seats on
the floor of this House.
