On motion of Mr. Loane,
The rote by which the petition of the President and Di-
rectors of the Frederick city, and Catoctin Mountain Railroad
Company, had been referred to the Committee on Corpora-
tions was reconsidered, and said petition referred to the Com-
mittee on the Judiciary.
Mr. Robinson, Chairman of the Committee on Education,
submitted the following report of the State Board of Educa-
tion, showing the condition of the Public Schools of Mary-
land, for the year ending September 30th, 1875.
Which was read.

Mr. Lankford, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
without amendment,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend chapter 218, of the
Acts of 1856, entitled an Act to incoporate certain persons
as Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church, in Princess
Anne, in Somerset County, to be called "Antioch Church,"
and to vest the property of said church in said trustees.
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Neal, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
without amendment,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Clerk of the
Circuit Court of Queen Anne's county to copy Index of
Deeds, &c.
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Dodson, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
without amendment,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower
the Governor to appoint an additional Justice of the Peace
in Easton District, in Talbot county.
Which was read a second time,
The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Ocean City
Bridge Company,
Being upon a second reading,
Mr. Purnell submitted the following amendment:
Sec. 10. And be it enacted, That the General Assembly
reserve to itself the right to alter or amend this Act of Incor-
poration at pleasure.
Which was adopted.
