Mr. Robinson, from the Committee on Ways and Means,
reported favorably,
The bill entitled an Act to establish a wholesale fish, oys-
ter and produce exchange in Baltimore city, with proposed
amendments.
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
"Provided, however, That the money necessary for the
purchase of the property required for said Marketer Produce
Exchange, shall be levied only on the taxable property of
such counties as shall accept by a majority vote of their
Board of County Commissioners such taxation, which accept-
ance shall be signified to the Comptroller of the Treasury, on
or before the first day of June next, and the Comptroller is
hereby authorized to cause the said sum of money to be levied
on the taxable property of such accepting counties as afore-
said; and the Commissioners, under this Act, are hereby re-
quired to impose such charges upon the citizens of such
county as do not accept the taxation under this Act as may
seem right and proper."
Strike out "Market-House" wherever it occurs in the bill
and insert "that said Commissioners to be selected from those
assenting to the provisions of this bill."

279, of the Acts passed at January Session, 1870, entitled an
Act to amend the Act of Assembly of 1868, chapter 292,
adding an additional Section to Article 51, of the .Code of
Public General Laws, under the title of "Landlord and Ten-
ant," by repealing the same, and re-enacting the same as
follows,
