Mr. Hance, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to add an additional Section to the
Code of Public General Laws, Article 26, title "Corpora-
tions," to enable Municipal Corporations to pay judgments
recorded against them in any of the Courts of Law in this
State.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Neal, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
The bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 70, of Article
17, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Queen Anne's,"
sub-title "Crier," and to re-enact the same with an amend-
ment.
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Boyer, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
The bill entitled an Act to declare the sanction of the
General Assembly of Maryland, to the bequest of Henrietta
M Bruff, late of Kent county, deceased, to the Vestry of
St. Paul's Prodestant Episcopal Church, Chester Parish at
Chestertown in said county.
Which was read a second time.
On motion of Mr. Hodges,
The House proceeded to the consideration of the bill entitl-
ed an Act to defray the expenses incurred by the State in the
prosecution of parties for the violation of the Oyster Laws of
this State, and to require certain duties of the Clerks of the
Circuit Courts, and Sheriffs of the several counties of the
State in relation thereto, which had been rejected on Thurs-
day the 30th ultimo, by yeas and nays, for want of a Consti-
tutional majority, and reconsidered.
The question recurring upon the passage of the bill,
The bill was then rejected, for want of a Constitutional
majority, as follows:
