1490 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Apl. 1,
The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bills:
The bill entitled an Act to incorporate a company to make
a turnpike from Latonsville, in Montgomery county, via.
'Triadelphia, to the Frederick Turnpike, in Ho ward county.
Endorsed : "Passed by yeas and nays."
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to authorize and direct the County
Commissioners of Montgomery and Prince George's counties,
to appoint examiners whose duty it shall be to report to their
respective Boards of County Commissioners, whether the pub-
lic convenience requires the building of a bridge over the
Northwest Branch, at the point where it is crossed by the
Sandy Spring road.
Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays."
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills,
severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
The Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay the claims of John F. Wiggins, Daniel Caulk,
Henry M. Tiralla, James E. Tate, Richard Tydings, John
H. Handy, David Leonard, George M. Laughlin, Moses
McCormick, Medairy & Bowers, and William T. Markland &
Bro.
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act passed
1874, chapter 276, relating to Kent Narrows, and all preced-
ing Acts relating thereto, and re-enact as follows.
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to regulate the sale of seats in
theatres, concert and lecture halls, and other places of public
entertainments.
Endorsed: "Reported unfavorably, and report adopted."
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to authorize and direct the Clerk
of the Superior Court of Baltimore city, to purchase the
right to use the Campbell system of indexing in the Clerks
offices of Court, for the land records of said city.
Endorsed: "Reported unfavorably, and report adopted."
Alto,
The bill entitled an Act for the prevention of intemperance
amongst the young men of Maryland.
Endorsed: "Reported unfavoranly, and report adopted."
Mr. Constable, Chairman of the Committee on the Ju-
