The Secretary of the Senate returned
The bill entitled an Act for the relief of certain persons
who claim that property belonging to them was destroyed by
fire on the seventh day of January, 1875, while stored in
State Tobacco Warehoues Nos. 1 and 2, in the City of Balti-
more.
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed
amendments."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Section 1, strike out all after the words "has been ren-
dered," in line 26, and insert in lieu thereof the following :
"Shall report the s aid judgments to the next General Assem-
bly of Maryland, which shall make provision for the pay-
ment of the same."
Section 1, line 6, strike out the word 'execute," and in-
sert "prosecute."
The proposed amendments were severally read and adopted,
and the bill as amended, passed by yeas and nays as
