The bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 70 of Art.
17, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Queen Ann's,"
sub-title "Crier," and to re-enact the same with an amend-
ment.
Which was read a first time and referred to Messrs. Neal,
Cockey and Mattingly.
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to require the sanction of
the General Assembly of Maryland, to the bequest of Hen-
rietta W. Bruff, lateof Kent county, deceased, to the vestry
of St. Paul's Church, Chester Parish, at Chestertown, in said
county.
Which was read a first time nad referred to Messrs Boyer,
Usilton and Sprigg.
Also, returned,
The bill entitled an Act to change the name of the
District of Columbia, Upper Marlboro and Hill's Landing
Turnpike Company, to that of District of Columbia and
Upper Marlboro Turnpike Company.

Also,
The bill entitled an Act to prohibit the granting of licenses
lor the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer,
at or within one mile of the village of Hereford, in Baltimore
county.

Also,
The bill entitled an Act to empower the surviving Trustees
of meeting-house of the Associated Methodist Church, in
Centreville, or a majority of them, to convey a certain lot of
ground in said town, unto the Trustees of the Methodist
Protestant Church at Centreville, in Queen Anne's county,
in the State of Maryland.

The bill entitled an Act to prohibit the Clerk of the Cir-
cuit Court of Baltimore county, from issuing license to ven-
ders of spirituous of fermented liquors or lager beer in the
nearer village of Warren Factory, or at. any place than one
mile in every other direction.
