Rutledge, Boyle, Vandiver, Culbreth, Goldsborough, Rusk,
Berkemeier, Lewis, Hoblitzell, McGlone, Gill, Chaisty, Sand-
ers, Scott, Farrow, Ranger, Jones, Canby, Rawlings, Sprigg,
Brooke, Brown, Waters, of Car'l, Dashiell, Gordy, Brown-
ing—49.
On motion of Mr. Hoblitzell, it was
Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that John T.
McGlone, of the First Legislative District of Baltimore city,
had he been present yesterday when the Contract Convict
Labor bill was acted on, he would have voted for Mr. Hob-
litzell's substitute.
Mr. Sanders, Chairman of Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 3, of chap-
ter 215, of the Acts passed at January Session, 1856, entitled
an Act to authorize the building of a bridge over the River
Patapsco, at Ferry Bar, and to re-enact the same so as to read
as follows.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Gill, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means,
reported favorably,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 43, of Art.
56, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to licenses,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
Which was read a second time.
Also,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 1 to 13,
both inclusive, of Art. 44, of the Code of Public General Laws,
title "Maryland Hospital," and to enact in lieu thereof the
following, to be arranged as Sections —— of said Article of
the Code.
Which was read a second time.
The bill entitled an Act to authorize and direct the Attor-
ney General of the State of Maryland, to institute proceedings
to forfeit the charter of the Gwynn's Falls Bridge Company,
of the Washington Road,
Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:
