Carroll received the highest number of votes cast for Gover-
nor of this State at the said election, on the 2d dav of No-
rember, 1875, and that he was eligible to said office when
io voted for , they therefore report the following resolution
for the action of this House :
Resolved, That the Hon. John Lee Carroll received the
highest number of votes at the election held for Governor of
this State, on the 2d day of November, 1875; that he was
eligible to the said office when so voted for; and was, there-
fore, at »aid election duly elected Governor of this State.
And your Committee ask to be discharged from the further
consideration of the memorial of the said the Hon. J. Mor-
rison Harris.
