A bill entitled an Act to amend Art. 95, "f the Code of
Public General Laws, by adding an additional Section there-
to, relating to usury.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to provide for the collection and
preservation of statistics of crime, and pauperism in the State.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.
Also, delivered the following message :

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
We have received your message asking the appointment of
a Committee of Conference on the disagreeing votes of the
two Houses, on the Assessment Bill, and respectfully con-
Cur therein.
We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs. Gor-
man, Lloyd and Aydelotte.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to regulate the catching of
fish in the waters of Talbot county, and in the Choptank
river and its tributaries,
Being upon a third reading,
On motion of Mr. Waters, of Dorchester,
The Tote by which the amendments proposed thereto on
the 25th inst. had been adopted, was reconsidered,
The question then recurring upon the adoption of the said
amendments,
They were rejected.
Mr. Waters, of Dorchester, submitted the following amend-
ments:
