Mr. Naill submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSES).
Section 4, line 5, after the word "them," add, "upon
proper legal proof,"
Which was read.
The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend-
ment,
Mr. Scott submitted the following amendment, as an
amendment to the amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 4, add after the words, "made known to them,
provided that the party so asking that any registered voter
be struck from the list, shall make affidavit that the voter to
be struck from the list is disqualified, and shall present to
the register a written specification of the alleged disqualifi-
cation, and said written specification shall be preserved by
the register, and subject to examination by any person at
any time during the fitting of said register."
Which was adopted.
The question then recurrring upon the adoption of the
amendment, as amended,
It was adopted.
Mr. Scott submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 4, add after the words "respectively," "and the
name of the person or persons informing the register that
said registered voter is disqualified, the name of the party so
informing to be entered in the space allotted for the cause of
disqualification."
Which was adopted,
And Section 4 as amended, was then read.
On motion of Mr. McGlone,
The House then proceeded «o the consideration of Sec-
tion 5.
Mr. Naill submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Add to Section 5, "and ou all applications for certificates
of previons registration by the person so registered by letter,
or otherwise, the certificate shall be furnished by the regis-
ter at the earliest date possible, after the application is made,
which certificate shall be presented to the register by the
person entitled to the same, or by some responsible person
known to the register before his name shall be added to the
list to which the voter desires to be transferred."
