The bill entitled an Act to authorize George L. Michael, of
Garrett county, to erect two gates on the public road in said
county, leading through the farm of the said George L.
Michael.
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to prevent the sales of spirituous or
fermented liquors within a distance of two and a half miles
from the fair ground of the Kent County Agricultural Society,
on the days of the annual exhibition of said Society, and to
give said Society full power to appoint a special, police during
said exhibition.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 8, of Article 1, of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Allegany county,"
sub-title "Oakland," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ment.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to authorize Benjamin Lankford to
erect and keep a gate across the county road leading down to
Gunby's Creek, in Somerset county, between the laud former-
ly belonging to William C. Bell, and the land formerly be-
longing to James Whittington, and now belonging to said
Benjamin Lankford.
The Secretary of the Senate returned
A bill entitled an Act to legalize the Revised Code of Pub-
lic General and Public Local Laws of Maryland, prepared by
Lewis Mayer, Lewis C. Fischer and G. D. Crass.
Endorsed, "Enacting clause stricken out."
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments Section 5, of Article 93, of the Code of Public General
Laws, as amended, and re-enacted by an Act passed at the
January Session, 1874, chapter 155.
Endorsed, "Unfavorable report, and report adopted."
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following message:

bill entitled "an Act to provide for the general valuation and
assessment of property in this State," with sundrry amend-
