Said bill was then sent to the Senate.
The bill entitled an Act granting to certain soldiers and
widows of soldiers of the war of 1812, a pensionof eighty
dollars per annum, to be paid in quarterly installments.
Being upon a third reading,
Mr. Hinks (by unanimous consent) submitted the following
amendments:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Insert after word name of "John Eyler," under title "Fred-
crick county," the name of "Elizabeth Filler," widow of Sol-
omon Filler.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Purnell submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Under the title, "Somerset county," strike out the name of
"Elijah Dougherty."
Which was adopted.
The bill, as amended, was then read a third time and passed
