So the proposed amendment was refected.
Mr. Gill submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Insert in line 6, after the word "State," in Section 1, and
where said word first occurs, "provided that no share or
shares shall be taxed more than once."

Mr. Whitelock submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 2, amend by striking out all after the word "State,"
in line 4, down to "grave-yards," in line 6.
