So the motion prevailed.
And the motion to reconsider the vote by which said bill
was passed, was reconsidered.
Said bill was then returned to the Senate.
Mr. Neal, Chairman of the Committee on Elections, re-
ported favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 205, 206,
212, of Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws of the
State of Maryland, relating to the "City of Baltimore,"
sub-title "Elections," and to re-enact Sections 205, 206 and
212, with amendments.
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Harig, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, re-
ported without amendments,
Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to pay the claim of Medairy & Bowers.
Which was read a second time.
The House then proceeded to the unfinished business of
yesterday,
Being the Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the
General Valuation and Assessment of Property in this State,
Said bill being upon a third reading,
Mr. Gill submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Sec. 1, insert after the word "county," in line 12, "provi-
ded that no bonds or securities or work shall be taxed more
than once."
The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend-
ment,
Mr. Gill demanded the yeas and nays,
