The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bill:
The bill entitled an Act to appropriate the sums of money
therein mentioned, to pay the claims of George W. Mur-
doch, J. W. Kalmey, J. Seth Hopkins & Company, Henry
W. Jenkins & Son, Samuel Stewart, Geo. T. Leiter and
J. E. Hayden.
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays with proposed amend-
ments."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Amend Section 1 by striking out after the word "cents,"
on 2nd line of 2nd page, the words "to George T. Leiter for
work done by direction of Levin Woolford, Comptroller, the
sum of one hundred dollars."
Amend title by striking out "George T. Leiter."
The proposed amendments were adopted.
On motion of Mr. Scott,
The vote by which sard amendments were adopted,
Was reconsidered.
The question then recurring upon the adoption of the
amendments.
They were non-cur red in.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Amend Section 1 by adding at end of said Section "to I.
Nevitt Steele, fifty-three dollars, to printing paid in suits of
State vs. B. and O. R. R., and to John Murphy & Co., one
hundred and ten dollars and seventy-five cents, to printing
briefs in suit, vs. B. and O. R. R."
