Which was read a first time and referred to the Anne
Arundel and Howard Delegations.
The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bills
eeverally endorsed, passed by yeas and nays :
The bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 46, of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed in 1874, re-
lating to fencing in Worcerter county, except so far as the
same relates to the 1st Election District, and to enact the
following in lieu thereof.
The bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 32, of Article
17, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Queen Anne's
County," sub-title "Centreville," and to re-enact the same
with.amendments, and to add additional Sections to said
Article.
The bill entitled an Act to prohibit the granting of License
for the pale of spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer
at or near Washington Factory, in Baltimore county.
The bill entitled an Act to require the County Commis-
sioners of St. Mary's county, to report annually to the Grand
Jury of the September term of the Circuit Court for said
county, a statement of the expenses of the county.
Also, returned,
The bill entitled an Act to prevent Hogs and Geese from
running at large in and within two miles of the village of
Urbana in Frederick county.
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays with proposed amend-
ments:"
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Section 2, line 4, strike out "two dollars," and insert
"fifty cents/' in lieu thereof.
Section 2, line 5, strike out "fifty," and insert "twenty-
five," in lieu thereof.
Which were read.
The question recurring upon the adoption of the amendments
On motion of Mr. Koons,
The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill with proposed amendments, referred to the Frederick
delegation,
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 1, of Article 38,
of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Officers' Fees,"
and to re-enact the same so far as relates to Dorchester Co.
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed
amendment:"
