Mr. Harig, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, reported
favorably,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to refund taxes on oyster
house licenses to Hugh B. Valliant and F. F. Avalier, of
Talbot county, erroneously paid to the State, with proposed
amendments.
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Section 3, after the word "Avalier," insert the following,
"Jesse H. S. Hubbard, Samuel Norris, Tilghman H. Hub-
bard, Wm. Grace, Michael Hartnett, Mrs. Margaret Zeigler,
T. S. Martin."
Further amendment, after the word "Licenses" in line 5,
insert the following, "and to Jacob Williams the sum or"
seventy-three dollars and ninety-six cents, for taxes on oyster
house license, and to Charles W. Bennett, of said county,
the sum of sixty-seven dollars and fifty cents, for taxes on
ordinary license, and to Wm. S. Elliott, Edmund W. Nor-
ris, Henry Nichols, Owen A. Boon, Joseph Rasiri, John B.
Todd & Son, James T. Robinson, J. V. B. Wright, J. R.
Colescott, Levi Howarth, Marcy Fountain, E. C. Godwin, S.
P. Jump, T. L. Hopkins and Dennis L. Council, of said
county, each the sum of thirteen dollars and fifty cents, for
retail liquor traders licenses, and to William B. Ewing, C.
M. Lloyd, Daniel C. Barnett and Philemon Muliken, of said
county, each the sum of eighteen dollars and seventy-five
cents, for ordinary licenses."
The proposed amendments were severally read and adopted,
And the bill as amended, passed by yeas and nays as fol-
