their respective boards of County Commissioners whether the
public convenience requires the building of a bridge over the
northwest branch at the point where it is crossed by the
Sandy Spring road.

Mr. Naill, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,
A bill entitled an Act to lay out and establish a new elec-
tion district in Frederick county from a portion of Frederick
District No. 2, to be called Tuscarora District, or Election
District No. 22.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Hooper, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 63 to 77 inclusive
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore county, Ar-
ticle 3, and the laws of Maryland, for 1872, chapter 371, as
far as the same relates to Baltimore county, entitled "County
Commissioners," and to enact the following in lieu thereof.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Gordy submitted the following message :
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
March 22d, 1876.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We respectfully request your Honorable Body to return
to us Senate bill No. 154, entitled an Act to authorize Sarah
A. E. Brewington to settle her account as guardian with
George P. Brewington, a minor.
By order,
MILTON Y. KIDD,
Chief Clerk.
Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.
Also, returned, the bill named in said message.
The question then recurring upon the unfavorable report
on said bill,
On motion of Mr. Dashiell,
The vote by which the unfavorable report was adopted,
Was reconsidered,
The bill was then substituted for the unfavorable report,
and read a second time.
