Were read a first time and referred to the Committee on
the Judiciary.
Also, delivered the following bills:
A bill entitled an Act to authorize the President and Com-
missioners of the town of Elkton, to issue bonds for the pur-
pose of raising money to build a fire engine house.
Which was read a first time ami referred to the Cecil del-
nation.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to refund to Joel Hines, of Carroll
county, the sum of $28.10, erroneously paid into the Treasury
of the State.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Claims.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act regulating the working and proper
ventilation of coal mines in Allegany and Garrett counties,
and providing for the appointment of an Inspector for said
mines.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Inspections,
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to add additional Sections to Article
56, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Licenses,"
under the sub-title "Coal Mining."
Which was read a first time and refurred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to established a Free Bridge over
the Patapsco River, between Baltimore city and Anne Arun-
del county, at or near the present site of Light Street Bridge.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Select Com-
mittee on the subject.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Citizens
Security and Land Company of Baltimore city, by enlarging
its powers.
Was read a first time and referred to the Committee on
Corporations.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 4, 15 and 16, of
Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of
Baltimore," and to re-enact the same with amendment.
Was read a first time and referred to the Balltimore city
delegation.
