The question then recurring upon the adoption of the title
of the bill,
Mr. Hoblitzell submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
After word "States," insert the following, viz : ''and the
Library Company of the Baltimore Bar."
Which was adopted.
The title, as amended, was then adopted.
Said bill was then sent to the Senate.
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bill:
A bill entitled an Act to provide for the General Valuation
and Assessment of Property in this State.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.
Hon. Richard C. Hollyday, Secretary of State, delivered
the following message from His Excellency, the Governor:
EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,
Annapolis, March 21st, 1876.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates;
