NEGATIVE—None.
Said bill was then sent to the Senate:.
The bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,
T, 8, 9, 10, 11 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20, title
"Baltimore County," sub-title "Roads," passed January
Session of the Legislature of 1874, chapter 274, and to re-
enact the same with amendments, so as to read as follows.
Being upon a second reading,
Mr. Given submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Amend Section 2, "Be it enacted that five Supervisors for
the 1st, 3rd, 9th, 12th and 13th Election Districts, three for
the 8th, and one for the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 10th and
11th Districts of Baltimore county, be elected by the people
of said districts, at the Congressional Election for 1876, and
every second year thereafter, to serve for two years, or until
a successor is elected and qualified, and the said Supervisors
shall each give a bond in the penal sum of $1,000, within 30
days after the election, to be approved by the County Com-
missioners for the faithful performance of their trust."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Whitelock submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Amend Section 2, line 2, and after "Supervisors" insert
"each."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Given submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Amend Section 3, on the 9th line, after the word "Commis-
sioners," add the following: "and said Supervisors, in dis*
tricts where more than one is elected, shall choose one
amongst them to act as Chairman."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Given submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Amend Section 10, on 5th line, after the word "Supervi-
sor," by adding the words "or Chairman of the Board."
Amend Section 16, line 41, after the word "the," by
striking out all to the word "which," in line 46, by enacting
the following: " 1st, 3rd, 9th, 12th and 13th Election Districts,
$2 per day, not to exceed $100 for each Supervisor, or $300-
