Dollars and to provide for the disposition of the proceeds
of said increase.

CHAPTER 73.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 8 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil
County", to be under sub-title "Marriages", said new section
to be known as Section 282A, and to follow immediately
after Section 282 of said Article, fixing the hours within
which the clerk of the Circuit Court may issue marriage li-
censes, and providing penalties for the violations thereof.

CHAPTER 74.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 1 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Rules of Interpre-
tation, " said new section to be known as Section 16 and to
follow immediately after Section 15 of said Article, pro-
viding that the word child shall include illegitimate child
for certain purposes.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted 'by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and the same is hereby added to
Article 1 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition),
title "Rules of Interpretation, " said new section to be known
as Section 16, to follow immediately after Section 15 of said
Article, and to read as follows:
16. The word child or its equivalent shall be construed to
include any illegitimate child, except in matters of inheritance,
descent or distribution of real and personal property, unless
such a construction would be unreasonable.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.
